At the June Luncheon The Elk Rapids Garden Club was proud to present awards to:
The Todd Tinkham Home at the corner
of Second and Center
and
The
Alden State Bank, at Ames and Center
Award sign in front of Elk Rapids prized homes and businesses.
The Todd Tinkham gardens brighten this corner.
Todd Tinkham is a very experienced gardener. He
was formerly employed at Bordine's Nursery and Franks Nursery. He sold the home and the garden lost it's verve,
but he re-purchased the home and revived the garden to their current splendor.
The Alden State Bank Garden
An
Alden Bank employee takes care of planting and caring for the beautiful bulb flowers, perennials and annuals. The garden
is one of those special places in the town of Elk Rapids. Established gardens do their own thing by July and August,
says Bank Manager Kathy Rudy.
