The Lamphier home, which some call
the Hobbit House, was built by the owners on the vacant garden lot of the former Candle Light Bed and Breakfast.
Some of the original orange and yellow day lilies, “Natalie’s flowers”, were stored by the fence
while construction took place. Their corner of Spruce and Chippewa appears cozy and quiet behind hedges
and stones, but a rainbow of dahlia, echinacea, and lily fill the small front yard with color. Awards Chair, Pat

| The Bodywise Garden |
Bodywise, Movement and Wellness
Center, moved to their new location at Bridge and First Streets one year ago. The historic cement block
house was renovated to a commercial site, and finishing landscape of an otherwise plain corner, bring beauty to the Village
and invites clients to exercise and relax. The landscape designer was Faun’s husband, Eric Rubert
of Pinehill Nursery. Borders of shrubs, grasses, hydrangeas, and splash of flower color circle the building.
Evergreens provide privacy to a grassy yoga garden, and floral urns dot the porch entry.
