The home of Rhonda Griener and
Don Bielat at 604 Bridge Street is an eclectic mix of rocks, vegetables, perennials, and whimsy. Rhonda’s
son, Al started the stone borders 5 years ago. Don added rocks and stone walking paths, moving plants and
designing as he goes. He tries to grow two vegetable plantings a year. In the
back yard there is a large hosta bed, and by the alley Don’s “doctor’s office” has plants he is nursing
back to health. Submitted, Pat Jackson, Award Chair

Pearl’s, located at 617 Ames
Street, is popular during restaurant hours. When quiet, neat simple grasses along the parking lot fence
and container gardens in the outdoor waiting and dining areas are pleasant to drive by. General Manager,
Dane Porter, credits Evergreen Landscape for the parking lot design and assorted grasses. Scott Hendrickson
keeps the window boxes seasonally colorful with pansies to gourds. For the cook, fresh herbs are grown
in one and fresh mint lines the deck.
