The Elk Rapids Garden Club is delighted to announce that their 2026 Garden Walk will be held on Tuesday, July 14, from 10:00 am-4:00 pm! This year’s theme, “Blue to Green and All the Colors in Between,” celebrates the beauty, creativity and diversity of the seven featured local gardens.
The Elk Rapids Garden Walk is a celebratory biennial summer tradition that welcomes around 400 attendees for a day of exploring beautiful local gardens and enjoying the shops, restaurants, and businesses throughout the community.
Join us for a garden walk on a mission
Attendees of this year’s Garden Walk can look forward to touring seven exceptional gardens across the greater Elk Rapids area whose owners are on a mission to preserve northern Michigan’s beauty through water and land conservation.
“Each garden is special and delightful. From shoreline gardens on Elk Lake, to a remarkable display of mature and meadow plantings in a must-see garden off East Bay, all seven gardens will showcase stewardship and celebrate the preservation of one of our most important environmental assets: our beautiful blue water!” says Garden Walk Chair, Diane Flatley.
She adds, “The addition of knowledgeable Club gardeners partnered with local environmentalists at each Garden Walk location will provide attendees with an exclusive opportunity to learn from the experts in a ‘live’ format where landscape design, plant ideas, and preservation efforts come together in one harmonious space. Be on the lookout for the local artists capturing the beauty of each garden through plein air painting.”
$15 pre-sale admission tickets for the Elk Rapids Garden Walk are available for purchase at the Elk Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce until July 13th, at the Elk Rapids Farmer’s Market on June 26th, and at the “Evenings on River Street” events on June 24th, July 1st and July 8th. Please plan to pay with cash or check.
Tickets are always available at elkrapidsgardenclub.com and your digital ticket will include the addresses of this year’s gardens.
This event helps our community grow
The Elk Rapids Garden Walk is the club’s sole fundraising event, supporting their mission to protect and enhance the natural beauty of the Village of Elk Rapids.
Proceeds from the Garden Walk make it possible for the Elk Rapids Garden Club to:
🌿 Maintain and care for nine beautiful public gardens throughout the Village that make our community a vibrant and welcoming place for all
🌿 Provide grants to Elk Rapids Schools that encourage environmental stewardship
